June Eldredge

May 18, 1928 — August 30, 2016

Our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, June Eldredge, returned to her eternal companion on August 30, 2016. Born May 18, 1928, in Twin Falls ID to Bernard Clyde Huffman and Louisa Mae Rynearson Huffman; she grew up on a farm in Filer, went to grade school at the Maroa Grade School, graduated from Filer High School, and attended Utah State University. She returned to Twin Falls where she met the love of her life, Lee Eldredge. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 16, 1950. They farmed outside of Twin Falls where they raised their six children. She had a great love for the gospel of Jesus Christ, always setting an example of service for her family and others. She served as Ward and Stake Relief Society President, loved working with the girls in the young women's organization, and diligently served as a visiting teacher. She enjoyed serving in the Birmingham England Mission in 1993-1994. She was so excited at the announcement of the coming of the Twin Falls Temple, and loved serving in it for as long as she was able. She taught many young women cooking, sewing, and other projects through the 4-H program. The love of her family kept her going, leaving a legacy of service to them. She is survived by her: six children; Glenda (Shane) Barlow, Twin Falls, Gary (Trena), Twin Falls, Debra (Stan) Hardy, Troutdale OR, Dixie (Mike) Munsee, Mtn. Green UT, Dan (Karen), Shelley ID, and Dale (Renee), Fairfield ID; twenty-three grandchildren, fifty-four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband in 1978; her sisters, Mary Killinger, Ida Mae Huffman (died in infancy), Gladys Peterson, and a brother, Jack Huffman, and a granddaughter, Jessica Eldredge. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the 229 Park Ave. LDS Church building.
