Artis Pollard

February 3, 1932 — December 2, 2021

Artis Irene Pollard finished her earthly journey on December 2, 2021, at Chardonnay Assisted Living facility in Twin Falls, Idaho. She is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Artis Roberts was born on February 3, 1932, in Wendell, Idaho to Ed and Wilma Roberts. On February 4, 1950, she married Harold Eugene (Gene) Pollard in Pocatello, Idaho. They were married for 61 years until his death in 2011. She leaves behind six children to cherish her memory: Nancy (Burl) Duncan, Michael (Kathy) Pollard, Brent (Jan) Pollard, Debbie (David) Stone, Sharon (George) Swarner and Kay (Bob) Kuhn. While in the hospital during her final months, a doctor asked her what she did when she was younger. She replied that she’d raised six kids. The doctor persisted and asked what she did for a living. To this she replied, “Raising six kids was quite enough!” Her children agree that it was indeed quite enough. She was the mom that every kid should have. Artis had wonderful relationships with her ten grandchildren: Andrew and Aaron Duncan, Derek and Brian Pollard, Cory and Jacki Stone, Amelia and Olivia Swarner, and Taylor Peña and Paige Kuhn. In addition, she is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Her love of family was surpassed only by her deep faith in God. She was a woman who lived out her faith through her gentle spirit, kindness, generosity and unfailing hospitality. The family thanks Chardonnay Assisted Living and Auburn Crest Hospice for the compassionate, tender care they gave to our mother during the final stages of her journey into God’s arms. We will celebrate Artis’ life with a memorial service on Saturday, December 11, at 3:00 p.m. at Rosenau’s Funeral Home in Twin Falls Idaho.
