It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Branson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister and friend to many. Born on July 8, 1939, Betty's life was one marked by strength, compassion and unwavering kindness. She left us peacefully on October 3, 2025.
Betty was born to Clarence and Elizabeth (Betty) Hall in San Luis Obispo, California. She attended school in San Francisco, California and then in Nampa after the family relocated to Idaho.
In July of 1956, Betty married Richard Skinner. Richard and Betty were blessed with three wonderful children, twin daughters Kenya and Kimell and their son Kern. Betty and Richard were happily married for over 43 years until Richard’s unfortunate passing in 1999.
After Richard’s passing, Betty was wed to Bud Branson in April of 2000. During their retirement years, Bud and Betty traveled extensively and had many adventures. During Betty’s later years, while experiencing health issues, Bud provided for all of her needs and was the best caregiver that anyone could have asked for.
Betty was preceded by her late husband, Richard Skinner, her father, Clarence Hall, her mother, Elizabeth Hall and her sister, Vera Danner.
The grief of losing Betty is felt deeply by her surviving family members. Her loving husband, Bud Branson, her sister, Doris Matthews, daughters Kenya (Jim) Tuttle and Kimell (Scott) Job and her son, Kern (Shannon) Skinner. Seven grandchildren, Krisa Jeffries, Jamie Tuttle, Carson Tuttle, Trina Bushman, Derek Job, Kody Skinner and Kelsi Dailey along with eleven great grandchildren. Betty’s contributions to their lives will never be forgotten and her absence will resonate in their hearts forever.
Above all, Betty was known for her love for her family and for how contagious her constant happiness was to others. Always generous and always kind, Betty left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Auburn Crest Hospice and Caring 4 You Home Care. Special thanks to Samra, Della, Julie, Jolene and Heather who were fantastic and cared for our Betty like she was part of their own family.
We invite those who knew and loved Betty to join us in celebrating her life on October 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at the Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls where we will remember Betty for the love she gave us, for the kindness she showed towards others and for her beautiful smile.
