Bill Salisbury

October 16, 1947 — July 7, 2020

Bill Edward Salisbury passed away on the 7th of July 2020 at the age of 72. Bill leaves behind his daughter Alyssa, brother Mike, son-in-law Tony, sister-in-law Lil, nephew Daniel and former wife and friend Carla. Bill also leaves behind his granddaughter Emma and granddaughter Lauren who loved her Pop Pop very much. Bill was also eagerly awaiting the arrival of his newest grandchild, a boy who is due in September. Bill was a man of faith who devoted his life to the service of others through his church. Never would a request for help or advice go unheard regardless of what Bill had going on. To say Bill was a unique person is putting it mildly, he loved cooking, mountain and ice climbing, camping and fly-fishing and all things outdoors. He specifically loved the West because he absolutely despised humidity. In addition to his family and hobbies, Bill loved dogs. Most of all, his Jack Russell Chloe, his husky/collie mix Heidi, and his beloved boyhood collie, Laddie Dog. I think its safe to say he loved those dogs more than some people. Education was important to Bill, he worked in the oil field to pay for his first bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas Tech and then continued on to earn his second master’s degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Throughout his life he worked for the National Security Agency, the Department of Energy, and lastly, the State of Colorado. Bill touched many lives, was a wonderful father, brother, and grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew him. As much as we wanted more time with Bill, we know that he is at peace probably playing with the dogs he loved so much.
