Brenda Nash Preston, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, returned to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
Brenda was born in Driggs, Idaho, on August 3, 1959, the daughter of Russell Oliver and Jean Marie Nash. She was raised in the Teton Valley with her 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
Brenda graduated from Teton High School in 1977, that same year, she met the love of her life, Mike Preston. They were married on November 19, 1977 in Driggs, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on August 10, 1999. Brenda and Mike were blessed with two sons: Jeff (Jaclyn) Preston and Tony (Nancy) Preston. They were blessed even further with 9 grandchildren: Mallory, Kylie, Will (Kaili), Luke, Jaxon, Lyra, Mariah (Nick), Ashley, and Tyler, and 2 great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Naomi.
As a young mother, Brenda was employed at the Happy Hooker Worm Shop and All the Rage clothing store. Later in life, she was employed by the Filer School District as a middle school food service cook and then as the high school kitchen manager.
Brenda loved to camp, fish, collect wind chimes, and shop yard sales. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was at their sporting events or taking them to yard sales. She found great joy in being a grandmother.
Brenda was a devout Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints member. She served faithfully in various church callings, including Counselor in Stake Relief Society presidency, Ward Relief Society President, Ward Young Women’s leader, girls camp cook, trek cook, and cub scout den mother.
Brenda was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her mother Jean, her father Russell, her brother Harry, her granddaughter Kylie, and her father-in-law Fred Preston.
The family would like to express their appreciation to her caregivers, specifically Kari, Shyanne, Tiffany, Doreen, Sierra, and the nurses with Hospice Visions LLC for the loving care they provided Brenda.
