Carol Lee Swainston, born on March 29, 1949, in North Dakota, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025. A dedicated professional, she devoted her career to the fish farming industry, working at Blue Lakes Trout Farm for 28 years followed by a decade at Clear Springs Trout Farm. Carol took immense pride in her work and was admired for her outstanding work ethic, consistently being recognized as a valued employee. A graduate of Regent High School in 1967, Carol was baptized Lutheran in 1952, instilling in her a strong sense of community and family values. Those who knew Carol often described her as one of the most selfless people, always giving and caring for others. She was a beloved mother to her three children, abundantly generous with her time and affection. Carol's life was enriched by her hobbies and interests. She cherished watching her favorite television shows, marking each night of the week with specific programs; her passion for sports was equally captivating. On game days, she would eagerly reach out to her sister, Louella "Auntie Lou" Harrison, and her daught and son in law Tina and Jeff for updates on the latest happenings. Her enthusiasm extended to watching her grandchildren participate in various sports, and she relished every moment spent at their games. Whether cheering for her grandson Maddox in baseball; while watching her son Tim as his coach, her granddaughter Brooklyn in wrestling, or her grandson Talon in football, basketball, and soccer, Carol embodied a proud and supportive presence. Family gatherings and long drives with her granddaughter Elly brought her immense joy. They would often take trips to visit her oldest daughter and families in Colorado, singing along to Alan Jackson songs, particularly cherishing the poignant tune "Remember When." Memories of her unique way of coining phrases, such as calling guacamole “guatamala,” still bring smiles to her family’s faces. Carol leaves behind her loving children: Tina Gentry (Jeff Gentry), Tim Stadelmeir (Kristi Stadelmeir), and Carrie Wiltsie (Tim Wiltsie), along with her cherished grandchildren: Cody Havens, Landin Gentry (Tori Gentry), Sarah Gentry, Cam Gentry (Lily Gentry), Camden “Elly” Stadelmeir, Maddox Stadelmeir,Madison Jenco, Abbie Jenco, Jackson Smith, Cole Wiltsie (Sydney Wiltsie), Brooklyn Wiltsie, and Talon Wiltsie. Her great-granddaughters, Sunday Gentry and Marlow Gentry, will also carry forward her legacy of love. She is survived by her sister, Louella Harrison, and nephews Jason King and Taylor Harrison. Carol is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Gary Swainston; dear parents, Milton and Maxine Osmundson; mother-in-law, Ruth Swainston; sisters-in-law, Nancy Swainston and Rhonda Setser; aunts Alice Nyman, Wilma Fleming, and Elsie Osmundson; and her first husband, Ed Stadelmeir.
