The family of Cindy Kopp is sad to announce her passing on May 24, 2023.
Cindy was born to Richard and Dorothy Kopp on August 26, 1953 in Long Beach, California. She lived in Lakewood, California with her older brother Rick and sister Debbie. She enjoyed swimming in their backyard pool and spending many weekends at the beach with her family.
The Kopp family moved to Twin Falls in the Summer of 1967. Cindy attended Twin Falls High School where she met Roger DeBoard. Roger and Cindy married shorty after graduation from high school and together they had their son Jeff. Divorced after a short marriage, Cindy met and married Donald S. Shockey. Together they had a son Shane. Jeff and Shane provided Cindy with six grandchildren) Kendyl (Chandler), Tanner (Taylor) and Landon (Micayla). Zachary (Challis) , Makayla (Seth) and Hattie. She was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren, Ragean, Boston, Blayke, Taelyn, Grace, Easton, RaeLynn, Creed, Jessie, BuckLee and baby Shockey on the way.
Cindy was the founding member of the Slap-a-hoes. She enjoyed leading its members each year on camping trips to the South Hills. She cherished all of the women and enjoyed spending time with them. There will be a memorial in her honor July 22, 2023 at the camp ground in the South Hills where she camped each year with her Slap-a-hoe friends. Cindy is survived by her two sons Jeff and Shane, her brother Rick Kopp and sister Debbie Kopp and Debbie’s husband Richard along with all of her wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all of her many friends and relatives.
