Conlie Lyle Greene

Conlie Lyle Greene, was born on September 13, 1941, in Wendell,

Idaho, and passed away on July 11, 2026 in Twin Falls surrounded by his family and staff of Avista Assisted Living. Conlie was born to William Harding and Lillian Naomi Greene. He was preceded in death by his wife Erma of 63 years, his parents, and his sister Lola Conner. He is survived by his children, Terry (Sue) Greene, Twin Falls; Connie (Steve) Kober, Donnelly, Idaho; Steve (Rosa) Greene, Eagle, Idaho; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Conlie grew up in Jerome and graduated in 1949 from Jerome High School. He joined the Army in 1950 during the Koren War where he served one tour of duty as a Radio Operator. He married Erma in 1954 after returning from the Army and settled in Twin Falls. Conlie was employed by Idaho Power Company where he made a career in performing various positions as Groundman, Lineman, and Troubleman. His final position was in Jackpot, Nevada as a one-person area representative for the company, retiring after 40 years in 1993.

Conlie was active in the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Shriners, and Scottish Rite, achieving various distinguished degrees including Worshipful Master of his Lodge. He gave countless hours supporting the benevolent causes thereof. Over the years, Conlie was an avid gardener and tireless rockhound. In retirement, Conlie and Erma spent winters in Quartzsite, Arizona and made many trips to the Oregon coast for crab and fishing. In every stage of his life, he was fun, funny, and kind. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and friends. The family invites you to attend a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 1275 E Fairfax Rd. Salt Lake City, Ut 84103.
