Connie Marie Cuellar

July 18, 1973 — May 28, 2026

Connie Marie Cuellar unexpectedly passed on Thursday, May 28th to join her husband, Tomas Jose Angel Cuellar, in an everlasting, heavenly reunion. Taken much too soon, Connie lived a life dedicated to her husband, her children and grandchildren.

Connie's story starts in Blackfoot, Idaho where she was born on July 18th 1973 and finally settled in Twin Falls, Idaho where she met her husband of 33 years, Tomas Jose Angel Cuellar, in the 7th grade. Later in life they began dating, it was only 6 months before they got married at the Twin Falls Court House on July 15th 1992 and welcomed their first baby, Tony, the following year.

Connie was a teacher for 25 years at Sawtooth Elementary School, receiving her Masters degree in 2018. She was an unforgettable teacher, often having high schoolers and college graduates reach out to her, sharing memories with gratitude. Connie had a passion for teaching and cared deeply for the students in her classroom, seeing them as children rather than students. Connie made learning fun and her classroom a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment. She bought extra supplies for those in need, offered snacks to take home and listened to students' feedback and ideas. Connie always went above and beyond for her classroom, starting several classroom traditions that she continued through each year she taught at Sawtooth Elementary School.

As a mother and wife, Connie kept her family together with her ability to provide comfort, care, support and advice, never giving up the love she had for every one of her children.

Not only known for her infamous high heels, Connie was full of life, laughter and remembered for how she carried herself. Showcasing her strength, determination, resilience, pride, care and love. She set an example for her daughter of what it means to not only be a mom and wife but a strong, independent woman. A woman whose voice was always heard and her presence to be known. Connie treasured every moment and milestone when it came to her grandchildren, there are no words to explain the amount of love she carried for them. Connie loved to spend time watching movies, cooking their favorite meals, playing board games, attending their sporting events, doing crafts and making sure the pantry was always full of their favorite snacks. Cherishing family time, Connie looked forward to Sunday family dinner surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Connie made the holidays come alive, often decorating every inch of her home and started traditions for her family to carry on. She enjoyed going deep in the Sawtooth Mountains to chop down Christmas trees, racing down the 4th of July water slide, painting pumpkins and planning family vacations every year. Connie also loved travelling countries with her husband and youngest son, Victor. When she wasn't travelling, Connie loved reading, biking, going for walks, doing puzzles and staying up late playing rummy with her husband while listening to music.

Although Connie’s early departure from this world has left a hole within her family, we know she is where her heart belongs, spending eternity with the love of her life. Connie's legacy will be

carried on through memories, traditions, and values that are engraved in each one of her children's hearts. In honor of Connie Marie Cuellar her family asks all guests to wear purple.

Connie Marie Cuellar is preceded in death by her husband Tomas Jose Angel Cuellar, her father, Luterio Rodriguez Sr. and her brother, Luterio Jr. She is survived by her five children: Tony, Robert (Whitney), Cassandra, Tomas, and Victor. Her 8 grandchildren: Carson, Naela, Xavier, Aiyana, Amaya, Silas, Kyce and Tomas Angel and her mom, Karen Lynn Rodriguez.
