He was also the sole owner and operator of Friendly Auto Sales and owned The Avon Store, both in Twin Falls. David was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and he and Elaine belonged to the 7th Ward in Twin Falls. They were sealed to each other for eternity in the Twin Falls Idaho LDS Temple on January 27, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Elaine, son Chris (Jana) Claiborne of Boise, daughters Julie (Jeff) Careaga of Meridian and Shawna (Pat) Sprowls of Colorado, stepsons Josh (Jennifer) Anderson of Twin Falls and Jason Anderson of Colorado, his mother, Donna Claiborne, his brother Lee (Vonnie) Claiborne and sisters Joyce (LaRae) Stringer and Jean Harper all of Twin Falls and his sister Irene Babbitt of Arizona, and three grandsons, Hunter Anderson and Brayden and Parker Careaga. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Claiborne, and his sister, Virginia (Rusty) Walker. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and a beloved friend to all who knew him.
