Delores "Dee" Nipper

June 27, 1934 — September 18, 2025

Delores (Dee) Nipper (Heinrich), 91, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2025.

Dee was born in Campbell, Nebraska, to William and Martha Heinrich. The youngest of six children, she grew up with three older brothers and two older sisters. At a young age, Dee, her parents, and several siblings headed west to settle in Twin Falls, where she would spend the rest of her life.

It was there that she met the love of her life, Carl. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. Dee worked for Mountain Bell for over 30 years, beginning as a phone operator and retiring in the engineering department. Along the way, she made many lifelong friends. Kim and Gary — your support, spirit, and generosity were truly unmatched.

Dee had a true green thumb and took great pride in her garden, especially her cherry trees, strawberries, and tomatoes. When she wasn’t tending her plants, she enjoyed trips to Jackpot, where the nickel machines were her favorite. She treasured her friends at Barton 93, who always showed her such kindness.

A master in the kitchen, Dee’s potato salad became legendary among family and friends. Though we’ll try, we know it will never taste quite the same. She loved finger steaks, never said no to a sweet treat, and we’re sure heaven has a candy store ready just for her.

More than anything, Dee cherished her family. She is survived by her daughter, Karla (Joe) of Nampa, Idaho, and her son, Dennis (Tammy) of Twin Falls, Idaho. Her grandchildren—Melissa (Ryan), Jason (Kristina), Crystal, and Jacki (Zach)—brought her so much joy, as did her eight great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as “G.G.”: Riley, Brady, Colby, Kaden, Bella, Joe, Avea, and Francesco.

The welcome Dee received in heaven was surely grand. Her beloved Carl likely greeted her with, “What took you so long?” She was also reunited with her parents; brothers Denzel, Alfred (Bud), and Dale; sisters Ruby and Naomi; her grandson Bob; her niece Kay; and many other cherished loved ones. We like to imagine she is already planning fishing trips with those who went ahead to scout out the best spots—and that Kay has already set up their newest adventure.

Here on earth, Dee will be deeply missed. Her love, her sass, and yes—even her stubbornness—will remain in the hearts of all who knew her until we meet again. Rest easy, Dee, and know you were loved so very much.
