It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Diane Loise (Burkhalter) Schroeder, who gracefully departed this world on her 84th birthday, June 20th, 2026.
Diane is the daughter of late parents John and Evelyn Burkhalter, she is also predeceased by her great-granddaughter, Angellina Mae Pinheiro.
Diane and Ivan shared a beautiful marriage of 65 years. Their journey together began on December 21, 1960, at the Clover Trinity Lutheran Church in Buhl, Idaho.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Lynn Schroeder, Anita Mae(Robert) Zufelt and Carla Marie (George) Kautz. In addition, Ivan and Diane have 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Diane's living siblings are Larry (Carole) Burkhalter, Glenn (Paula) Burkhaulter and Susan (Ronnie) Jones.

Diane contributed to her community in various capacities, from driving a school bus for the Clover Trinity Lutheran School to serving as a clerk at Crowley Drugstore, working at Green Giant in personnel, and holding positions as a bank teller and a dental office secretary. Yet, she found her greatest joy and purpose in being a devoted mother and a loving wife.
She found interest and joy in cooking, reading, singing, tending her vibrant flower pots, and taking long, reflective walks. These activites brought her peace and fulfillment, allowing her to savor life's simple pleasures.
Diane's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Twin Falls Transitional Care of Cascadia and Auburn Crest Home Health and Hospice, whose genuine kindness and care provided comfort during her final days.
