Douglas Duane Kaserman (Doug) 83 of Eden Idaho went to see his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Dec 6th, 2025, at Bridgeview Assisted Living in Twin Falls ID.
Doug was born in Twin Falls ID, December 24th, 1941. He was the oldest child of Laverne and Doris DeVries (Cummings). Laverne was killed in the battle to take Okinawa during WWII in 1945. Doris met another young veteran, after the war, Clyde Kaserman while working for the Veteran’s Administration. After they married Clyde adopted Doug along with his sister Evelyn. Then before they knew it they had a little brother, Paul, to complete the family.
Doug met the love of his life Gayle Aslett on a blind date while attending Idaho State University in Pocatello. They married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Eden ID on Dec 30, 1962. Together they had two children, Johnathon Douglas and Angela Marie.
Doug was always a hardworking, loving family man. He had many gifted occupational skills, from Jet Engine Mechanic, Farming, Auto Mechanic & Hydroelectric Power Plant Operator. There was not much that Doug could not fix or jerry rig together.
One of his favorite pastimes was getting in his side by side and heading for a ride whether to the South Hills or Mesquite Nevada with his buddies. He also greatly enjoyed “going to coffee” at the Silver & Gold Senior Center in Eden.
Doug is survived by his two siblings Evelyn (Jay) Jones and Paul (Anne) Kaserman, son John (Elizebeth Dodson), daughter Angela (Randy) Grant, two granddaughters, one great granddaughter and many much-loved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father/ Laverne Devries, dad/Clyde Kaserman, mother/ Doris Kaserman, wife/ Gayle Kaserman, nephew/ Jason Arnhart, nephew/ Jeff Rigby, and great granddaughter/ Kaitlynn Wilson.
At Doug’s request, a SHORT church service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Eden ID, Saturday Dec 13th 2025 at 1:00pm.

The Family would like to give a special Thank You to St Lukes of Magic Valley, 3rd floor medical staff, and Visions Hospice along with the staff of Bridgeview Assisted Living for his short stay there. Most importantly Dr Joseph Waters, his long-time physician, who always took time to see him whenever needed or had questions.
