Elaine L Beeson

February 1, 1931 — May 1, 2024

Twin Falls

Elaine was born February 1, 1931, in Kimberly, Idaho to Lewis Clyde and Bessie Helen Pace.  Elaine passed away May 1, 2024, at Serenity Transitional Care home in Twin Falls.   She lived in Twin Falls most of her life (87 of her 93 years).  She grew up attending schools in Twin Falls, graduating in 1948.  She went to Idaho State College in Pocatello.

Elaine then moved to Homedale, Idaho where she met the most handsome man and fell in love immediately.  Wesley Beeson was the love of her life.  They were married on November 30, 1949, and had 62 1/2 years of marriage.  They had four children, Richard (Dick), Connie, Gary, and Keith.

As a young girl, she loved to ride horses.  Her Dad belonged to the Twin Falls Riding Club and the Sheriff’s Posse.  When some members did not show up for practice, she was asked to ride in their place.   This was great fun for a ten-or eleven-year-old kid.  She could ride with the best of the men.  She loved to dance and had great memories of times she and Wes danced the night away.    She loved to sew and knit.  She liked doing jig saw puzzles and word find puzzles.  She was always asked to bring her Potato salad and chocolate cake to all family gatherings.

When she married into the Beeson family, it was a very special relationship.  Now she had a big family of brothers and sisters.  She loved them all and attending the Beeson family reunions was something she never missed.  It meant the world to her to be with family.  She always put family first and foremost in her life.  She was so proud of their accomplishments.

Elaine worked at several different occupations ending her career at the South Central District Health Department working for twenty years as the receptionist.

She volunteered at the Senior Center delivering Meals on Wheels from 1995-2011 (15 years).  She also volunteered at the Buzz Langdon Visitors Center, elections board and various church positions.

She was baptized on December 22, 1940, in the First Christian Church in Twin Falls at the age of nine.  She had a strong faith and love for her Lord.  She later transferred her membership to the Kimberly Christian Church.  She loved her church family and her Sunday lunch bunch.

She belonged to the Squilla Club and the Salmon Social Club, the Magic Gems (auxiliary of the Magichords of which Wes had been a member for almost 40 years.  They took many trips with the Magichords.

They loved to travel and took many trips including Alaska, Hawaii, the New England States and most of the West.  After Wes passed, she traveled with friends from church on several organized tours.  She loved these trips.

Elaine will always be remembered for her ever-present smile, friendly disposition, and her willingness to help anyone.  She was often referred to as “smiley” or “short stuff”.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wes in 2012, their son Dick in 2004, her parents Clyde and Bessie Pace, Sister, Ruth and in-laws Roy and Lois Beeson.  She is survived by their children Connie (Bob) Davis, Garden Valley, Gary (Angie Ehlers), and Keith of Twin Falls.   Grandchildren Tami Ryals, Travis Ryals (Sarah), Tiffany Slaughter, Luke Davis, Justin Beeson (Mattison Marsh), Amber Beeson, Krystal (Eric) Beeson Land, and Jason Beeson Johansen (Courtney Wells).  Great Grandchildren Colton, Shane and Kennedy Wickstrom, Jaidyn Ryals, Emma and Ava Slaughter, Patricia Elaine Beeson, Hayden Martin, Jordan and Oakley Johansen.
