Eric Scott Lindsay

June 29, 1971 — February 19, 2024

Buhl, Idaho

Eric Scott Lindsay, 52, passed away unexpectedly February 19th, 2024, at home in Buhl. He was born June 29th, 1971, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Delbert and Julie Lindsay.

At the time of his death, Eric worked for High Desert Meat after working for Independent Meat/Falls Brand for 20+ years.

He attended schools in Kimberly and later Twin Falls.

Eric enjoyed bowling and playing baseball. He started with t-ball and played through grade school on a team coached by his dad. He later played on adult softball leagues. He was also an avid pool player and played on pool league and entered tournaments. He also raced locally at the Magic Valley Speedway in the Pony Stocks with his dad and Uncle Richard. The three of them shared the same car for the first season and by the next season they each had their own car.

Eric married Donna, who brought a daughter into that marriage. They later divorced. He later married Stephanie Pherigo and together they had daughter Kayla and later divorced.

Eric was also a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan. We are so happy he got to see them play in the Super Bowl one last time. He also enjoyed Nascar and Dale Jr. was his favorite driver.

Eric is survived by daughter, Kayla Lindsay, sister, Tracey Hoffman (Wes Garrison), nephew, Kade Lindsay (Lacey), niece, Tori Hoffman (Jamal Andersen), two uncles, many cousins, and friends. Eric was going to be a great uncle in March and was excited for his great nephew to be born.

Eric is preceded in death by his parents, baby brother Michael, paternal and maternal grandparents, three aunts, five uncles and several cousins.

A private visitation and cremation were under the care of Rosenau Funeral Home.

There will be a celebration of life/memorial/BBQ on June 29th for anyone that would like to attend. There will also be a fundraiser/pool tournament May 4th at The Pocket in Twin Falls. (you may reach out to the family for details)

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Van Horn family from High Desert Meat. You and Eric held a special place in each other’s hearts, and we are so grateful for all that you have done and the support you have given during this difficult time. We know our loss is also your loss.

Eric will also be missed by his long-time close friend Joe.

I will always love you and miss you, brother. Give mom and dad a hug for me.
