Evelyn G. LeClair

Evelyn G. LeClair, 94, of Twin Falls, ID passed away, Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Avista Senior Living in Twin Falls.

She was born August 15, 1930 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the youngest daughter of Michael and Bertha Bohrn.

She was raised on a farm in Curry, Idaho, where she attended all 12 years of school. After she graduated high school, she went to Beauty Arts Academy and graduated with her cosmetology license.

In 1951, she met the love of her life, Lloyd LeClair, in Twin Falls. He proposed to her on Halloween and they were married on January 15, 1952 after a blinding snowstorm. She was an active member of Saint Edwards Catholic Church.

In the summer of 1956, Lloyd and Evelyn along with Lloyd's parents, Joseph and Anna, purchased the Cottage Motel. Soon after moving in, their daughter, Marie Antoinette, was born; four years later, their son, Michael Joseph, joined them.

As their family grew, they took many fun trips skiing at Magic Mountain, fishing at Alturas Lake, hunting trips to the South Hills and camp manager at Camp Tawakani for 5 years.

After retirement, Lloyd and Evelyn enjoyed many touring trips across the United States and other countries.

In 1988, Father Gould had an idea to create a Kitchen for the Needy and asked Lloyd and Evelyn to head up the St. Edward's Kitchen. Lloyd and Evelyn led that ministry for 18 years.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Michael (Dori) LeClair, Robin Sharp (Son-In-Law); as well as her 5 grandchildren: Justin (Jennifer) Sharp, Jameson (Cassie) Sharp, Kali (Marcus) Santisteven, Janae (Jareth) Van Slooten, and Jonathan (Rebekah) Jordan. She is also survived by her 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Lloyd, her parents, a sister, 2 brothers, and her daughter Marie.

A Rosary for family and friends will take place on Sunday evening, August 10 at 4:30 pm, at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 161 6th Ave. East, Twin Falls. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following the Rosary st 5:00 pm. Burial will be on August 11 at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Park.
