Gary Elton Dameron

Gary Elton Dameron, born on August 20, 1951, in Lakeview, Oregon, transitioned peacefully on September 19, 2025, in Boise, Idaho. His life was characterized by a profound commitment to family, community, and faith.

A proud veteran, Gary joined the Air Force in 1971, serving until 1975. His dedication to his country was a source of immense pride for him throughout his life. After his military service, he moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where he became part of the community and established lasting connections.

In 1982, Gary married Michele. Their union brought forth a son, Jeremiah Dameron, who would become one of the cornerstones of Gary's life. Although their marriage ended in divorce, Gary and Michele maintained a strong friendship that exemplified respect and mutual support.

Professionally, Gary was dedicated to his work at the Amalgamated Sugar Factory, where he served diligently from 1982 until his retirement. His kindness and willingness to engage with others made him a beloved figure in the town. He cherished visiting with the townspeople and actively spread the word of our Lord, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Gary is survived by his son, Jeremiah Dameron; his brother, Douglas (Rosemary) Dameron; his sister, Sally O’Keefe; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss his warmth and wisdom dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Roberta Dameron, and his stepmother, Tessi.

The memorial service will take place on October 3, 2025, at Snake River Canyon National Cemetery in Buhl, Idaho, with the inurnment commencing at noon. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Gary's remarkable life and his contributions to those around him.
