George "Bill" Hoover

George William Hoover, known as Bill, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at the age of 99. He as only a month away from his 100th birthday! He was surrounded by many members of his family.

Bill was born in Salt Lake City July 13,1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bazel L Hoover and Sarah Ella Anderton.

In 1952, he married Ilauna Marea Olsen in the Salt Lake Temple. He shared 31 years of marriage and was the father of 5 children, one of whom passed away at birth. Ilauna (Lonny) passed away in 1983. In 1984 he married Hope Wallace in the Jordan River Temple. Hope preceded him in death in 1998. In 1999 he married Cheryl (Chick) Beckstead who survives him.

Bill has a large posterity. He is survived by his wife, Chick; his children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and also great great grandchildren along with many family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 20th at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS church, 847 Eastland Dr North Twin Falls, and a graveside service at the Alpine Cemetery in Alpine, Utah with military services on Monday, June 22nd at 11:00 a.m.
