Gwen B. Stoker passed away on June 13, 2026 at age 88 in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was born in
Pocatello January 18, 1938, and raised in Burley by parents Truman and Eva alongside older
siblings Max and Gay (Allred). She married David Stoker after graduating from Burley High
School in 1956. They went on to have many European adventures while living in Germany and
France as David was stationed overseas. Their first son Kenneth joined the family in 1967.
Michael joined the family in 1969 and soon thereafter the Stokers moved to Okinawa where
daughter Kim, born in South Korea, completed the family of five.
Gwen was especially fond of motorcycling and RVing around North America after she and
David retired. They traveled to almost every state and six Canadian provinces on their Honda
Gold Wing. They were married 60 years before David passed away. Gwen also loved her dogs,
working out on her elliptical machine, skiing, and putting together puzzles.
Our mother was an exemplary role model for us and all those who knew her. She lived a life of
self-sacrifice with integrity, loyalty, and kindness.
She is survived by all three of her children and her brother Max. Her family would like to
express their gratitude to her care team at Horizon Hospice for their attention, support, and
advocacy.
As per Gwen’s wishes, there will be no formal services.
