Iva Mae Fitzpatrick December 7, 1931 – March 23, 2026
Eden, Idaho — Iva Mae Fitzpatrick, 94, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at her home in Eden, Idaho.
She was born on December 7, 1931, in Baxter County, Arkansas, to Fred and Dona Pherigo.
A Life Rooted in Family and Simple Joys Iva lived a life deeply rooted in family, hard work, and the simple pleasures of the outdoors. She was a devoted wife and mother whose world revolved around her loved ones.
Whether fishing, cooking, hunting, tending her garden, feeding the hummingbirds, or watching her beloved roses and flowers bloom, Iva found true happiness in these quiet everyday moments.
Teaching Values and Cherishing Time Together She taught her children and grandchildren the value of hard work and self-sufficiency—lessons that will continue to guide generations to come.
Family gatherings brought her the greatest joy, especially when her grandchildren filled the space with laughter. More than anything, she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and the many generations that followed.
Her love for each of them was deep, unwavering, and full of quiet pride.
Special Treasures Iva also held a special tenderness in her heart for her beloved dogs Penny, then Boots—who often got spoiled more than any of her kids.
Preceded in Death She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Fitzpatrick; her parents, Fred and Dona Pherigo; her grandson, Coy Pili; her granddaughter, Crystal Graybill; as well as two brothers and two sisters.
Lovingly Remembered By Iva is lovingly remembered by her children: Joann Acklin, TJ Acklin, Shelly Wormsbaker, and Shawn Fitzpatrick;
her 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; her 2 brothers and 2 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
A Beautiful Legacy Iva Mae Fitzpatrick’s life was a beautiful testament to love, strength, and resilience. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and the enduring example of a life well-lived.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
