James "Jim" Marius Griffith

James Marius Griffith (“Jim”), 79, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, after a long illness on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Jim was born on June 28, 1947, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to James and Mary Griffith, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1965, where he was an active leader in FFA. Following graduation, he attended the University of Idaho before proudly enlisting in the United States Air Force in November 1966. Jim served honorably until November 1970, achieving the rank of Sergeant. During his military service, he earned the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal in recognition of his dedicated and honorable service. After completing his military service, Jim returned home to Twin Falls, where he joined the family farming operation, a way of life he truly loved.

In 1975, Jim married Cecille Webb, the love of his life. Together they built a life centered on love, laughter, family, and adventure, creating countless cherished memories over the years.

Jim dedicated 35 years of service to Amalgamated Sugar Company, where he made many lifelong friends. After retiring, he continued serving his community by driving bus for the Boys & Girls Club. He especially loved spending time with the children and took great joy in getting to know them. He also drove for Sun Valley Stages for several years, a job he truly enjoyed.

Jim had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed assisting his wife, Ceil, with East End Providers as they worked together to help children and families in need.

Although Jim faced health challenges for many years, he remained positive, kind, and outgoing. In his younger years, he loved riding his motorcycle and enjoying the open road. Jim and Ceil shared many wonderful adventures together, especially their trips to the Oregon Coast, where they delighted in searching for special treasures to bring home. One of their favorite adventures was an Alaskan cruise, where they made memories they would cherish forever.

Jim also had a special place in his heart for his faithful canine companions, Jackass, Scotty, and Toby. They brought him comfort, laughter, and unconditional love, and he treasured each of their unique personalities.

Jim was a devoted husband, loving stepfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Cecille (“Ceil”) Griffith, of Twin Falls, Idaho; his beloved stepson, Delvin Webb, of Boise, Idaho; his sister, Karen Griffith of Garden Valley, Idaho; and his brother, Peter Griffith of Portland, Oregon, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Griffith; his brother, Tom Griffith (Myrna) of Boise, Idaho; and his sister, Kathy Richter (Rob) of Powell Butte, Oregon.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many physicians, nurses, and caregivers who cared for Jim throughout the years. A very special thank you goes to Dr. Ippolito for his compassionate and exceptional care, and to Visions Hospice Home Care, especially Pene, whose loving kindness, compassion, and dedication brought comfort and peace to Jim and his family during his final days.

Jim will be remembered for his warm smile, gentle spirit, unwavering optimism, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. His strength, generosity, and love for family, friends, and community touched countless lives. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him forever.
