Janice was born in Twin Falls, Idaho to George and Bonnie Carroll. She graduated from Twin Falls High School in May 1967. She attended college at the University of Idaho where she graduated in May 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in education.

Janice worked in education from 1972 to 2013. She worked as the librarian at Kimberly High School until her children were born. She then substitute taught while they were growing up. She returned to full time education teaching English at Hansen High School and finished her career as the librarian at Harrison Elementary in Twin Falls.

On November 25, 1972, she married Jim Klimes at Twin Falls First Christian Church. Janice and Jim were married for 50 years and resided in Kimberly, ID. To this union were born two sons, Andy and John Klimes.

Janice was a member of Twin Falls Reformed Church. She enjoyed preparing family Sunday dinners, traveling with her sister Julia, gardening, coffee with her best friend and Mother-in-law Elizabeth Klimes, lunches with friends, and coffee with her daughters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jim; sons, Andy (Nelda) Klimes and John (Becky) Klimes; sister, Julia Carroll; six grandchildren, Caitlin, Kyra, Lizzy, Jacob, Kylie, Cora; and two great grandchildren.

She was a blessing to us all and will be missed.

A memorial service will be held in Janice’s memory at the Twin Falls Reformed Church 1631 Grandview Dr N. Twin Falls, ID May 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.
