Jannace Louella Kirkdorffer, born on November 3, 1936, in Albion, Iowa, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, in Twin Falls, Idaho. She lived a life filled with love, compassion, and service, leaving behind a legacy of kindness that will be cherished by those who knew her.
A dedicated mother, Jannace took immense pride in raising her four children. Her commitment to family was unwavering, and she often reflected on the joy she derived from nurturing her loved ones. She was particularly proud of the time she spent caring for her terminally ill mother, Velda, and attending to her aging father, Earl, until his passing.
Education played a significant role in her life as well; she excelled academically and was awarded a college scholarship thanks to her talents, which included playing basketball during her high school years. Jannace's love for learning transcended her own education, as she devoted time to tutoring children through her involvement with the Salvation Army, impacting the lives of many youth in her community.
In addition to her charitable work, Jannace enjoyed creating heartfelt gifts for birthdays and Christmas, showcasing her caring nature and creative spirit. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as walking on the beach, listening to music, and savoring root beer floats and ice cream. Many memories were made as she took her family to Knott's Berry Farm for evenings filled with music and treats, as well as beach trips in the summer. Notably, her love for travel was exemplified in family vacations to Kauai in 2000 and Maui in 2015.
A true animal lover, Jannace adored butterflies and cats, often putting out cat food for the neighborhood felines. Her compassionate personality defined her life; she was always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need, embodying the essence of caring for others.
Jannace is survived by her loving family, including her children, Jane (Blane), Tom (Donna), Mark, and Lynda, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Velda and Earl, and her brother Ronald.
Jannace Louella Kirkdorffer will be remembered for her nurturing heart, her unwavering spirit, and the countless lives she touched throughout her life. Her legacy of love and kindness will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
