Jeffery Carl Peterson, 75, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026 in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was born on June 9, 1951 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Robert Carl and Doris Lee Peterson. Jeff was a cherished blessing following the loss of his parents’ first child. He grew up as the eldest of five children in a warm, close-knit family.

Jeff spent his youth working on the family farm set against the South Hills in Murtaugh, Idaho—a place that remained forever close to his heart. Working on the farm alongside his grandparents, parents, and siblings formed some of his happiest memories. After graduating from Murtaugh High School, Jeff continued working on the farm and later worked for Amalgamated Sugar Company until his retirement.

Jeff’s favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing where he loved being in the outdoors. In his later years, he found immense joy in the companionship of his beloved German Shorthaired Pointers, Smokey and Jake.

As the eldest sibling and designated family historian, he possessed an incredible memory and delighted in sharing detailed stories of his family and childhood community. Above all, he expressed his love through quiet service, including taking care of both his parents in their later years.

Jeff is survived by his sisters, Marcia Norris of Hansen, Idaho, and Jana (Randy) Pawlowski of Herriman, Utah, sister-in-law, Lisa Peterson of Santaquin, Utah; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Peterson; his brothers, Bobby and Doug Peterson; his sister, Brenda Dyson; and his brother-in-law, Marvin Norris; as well as beloved grandparents who are all welcoming him home.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
