Jo Ann "Joni" Peterson

Joni passed away unexpectedly from a sudden heart attack. At the time of her death, she was a teacher at Twin Falls High School and had also taught at Robert Stuart Junior High and Buhl High School.

Joni was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to John and Marie Christofferson. She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Steve Peterson; her son, John Peterson; and her daughter, Annie Peterson. She is also survived by her brother, John Christofferson (Connie); sister-in-law, Mavis Gandiaga (Phil); brother-in-law, John Peterson; sisters-in-law, Janet Stern (Bob) and Leslie Christofferson; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jill; her brother, James; and her nephew, Burt.

Joni was strong-willed, passionate, and positive. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
