Joan Drown

d. January 18, 2023

Joan Drown (71) Joan was born on February 13, 1951 in Twin Falls, ID to Floyd Henry Drown and Veda Brunt Steele Drown. After a valiant two year fight with breast cancer, she peacefully passed away with her two “daughters” (nieces,) by her side on January 18, 2023. Joan was very active and played a huge role in the deaf community, the CSI community, and was an active member of the LDS church. She always had a smile on her face and it was contagious. She was a woman of no judgement and always spread the mottos of “always be kind” and “think positive, be positive.” Joan is survived by her “daughters,” Amanda Drown (Braxdon, Kyrie, and Jaxton,) Kala Ursino (Janelle, Harley, and Vincenzo “Vinny”,) siblings Keith Drown, Floyd Drown (JoAnn Drown,) Mary Perry, Lynn Drown, Judy Hamilton (Tom Hamilton,) Susan Murrah (Gary Murrah,) brother-in-law Ron Clark and many nieces and nephews. Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Henry Drown, Veda Brunt Steele Drown, sister Gail Clark, and brother-in-law Ev Perry. Services will be held at Rosenau Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 24th, with a viewing from 1-3 pm and services to start at 3 pm.
