Joann Ellen Andreasen, a beloved home maker and cherished soul, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, in Hazelton, Idaho, at the age of 78. Born on November 4, 1945, in Allentown Pennsylvania, Joann lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a passion nurturing those around her.
Joann's cooking was the highlight of many family gatherings; her homemade meals brought joy and comfort to all who had the pleasure of enjoying them. She had a special gift for sharing her culinary creations, making everyone feel welcomed and loved at her table. Her contagious laugh and loving spirit warmed the hearts of her family and friends, leaving lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
Throughout her life, Joann had a deep love for animals, finding joy in their companionship. She was also an adventurous spirit, relishing the time spent camping and riding ATVs and side by sides. Joann enjoyed traveling and exploring new cuisines, always eager to learn new recipes to bring home and try in her kitchen.
A proud graduate of high school, Joann pursued her education and attended nursing school, embodying a nurturing nature that transcended her career and into her family life. She was dedicated to creating a home where her loved ones could gather, and her proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly fostering a family that cherished time spent together.
Joann leaves behind her loving family: Mark Andreasen and Gary Andreasen (sons), Shannon Andreasen (daughter-in-law), her grandchildren Cody and Jayden Andreasen, along with her granddaughter-in-law Kim. She is also survived by her brother Mark Hoffman and sister-in-law Diane Hoffman. In her heart, she holds the memory of her late husband, Clarence "Andy" Andreasen, and her parents, Ruth and Fredrick Hoffman, who now watch over her in eternal peace.
A visitation will be held in her honor at Rosenau Funeral Home & Crematory in Twin Falls on September 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service until 1:00 PM. Joann will be laid to rest at Hazelton Cemetery shortly after, at 1:30 PM.
