Julie Anne (Steed) Gittins (74), beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away in Twin Falls, Idaho on December 7, 2023 from complications due to aneurysms, vascular dementia and stroke.

Julie was born on March 17, 1949, in Tremonton, Utah to Grant Joseph Steed and Shirley Adena (Adams) Steed. She grew up in Ogden, Utah where she attended Ben Lomond High School. After high school, she married Steven Davis and divorced 8 years later.  In April, 1981 she was remarried to Paul Dean Gittins, and they enjoyed a long marriage of 42 years. They were sealed in the Portland, Oregon Temple.  From the mid-1970s until August 2020, Julie lived in the Portland, Oregon area, including a home in Gresham, Oregon where she lived from 1984 until 2020.  In 2020, she and her husband Paul moved to Kimberly, Idaho where she resided for the remainder of her life.

Julie worked for several years as a home health care worker and enjoyed being able to help those with physical and mental challenges. She loved camping and often took her children to the Oregon Coast. She also loved watching good movies, especially with loved ones; and she loved board games, particularly Yahtzee and Rummikub. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until her health made it difficult to attend, but she always remained faithful. She also served for many years in the Primary.

Julie is survived by her loving husband, Paul Gittins; daughters, Hollie (Jim) Davis Frick; Janene Davis; Tamara (Andrew) Davis Walker; stepdaughter, Sherry Lindsay; granddaughters, Emily Frick and Kaitlyn Frick; siblings, Dixie (Oliver) Nichelson; Delmar Steed; Sharla Steed; Leisa (A.J.) Eves; Sandra (Ken) Blades and Darwin (Lori) Steed, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Shirley Steed; son, Layne Davis; siblings Merrill (Nola) Steed, and Brian Steed.

Julie will be laid to rest on December 18, 2023, in the Snake River Canyon National Cemetery where she will one day be joined with her husband, Paul.
