Kelly Alton Lookingbill, 83, passed away on May 22, 2026. Kelly was born on August 30, 1942, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to William Alton Lookingbill and Lucille Jackson Lookingbill. Kelly spent nearly his entire life in the Twin Falls, Idaho area, aside from three years serving in the United States Army. Over the course of his life and career as an independent business owner for 40 years at Cornwell Tool Supply, he had the opportunity to meet and befriend countless people throughout the community. Kelly and his wife, Maggy, shared 42 wonderful years of marriage and built a life filled with love, friendship, and lasting memories together. Kelly was a true people person. Everywhere he went, he seemed to know someone, and if he didn’t, it never took long before he made a new friend. His outgoing personality, warm spirit, and gift for conversation made him unforgettable to those fortunate enough to know him. Kelly found joy in life’s simple pleasures—growing a world class garden, cooking meals, and gathering the people he loved. His backyard was often filled with family and friends sharing food, laughter, and stories. Those gatherings and the memories made there will remain treasured by all who shared them. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Jean Lookingbill; his sister, Carole Lookingbill (Wayne) of Twin Falls, Idaho; and his brother, David Lookingbill of Wickenburg, Arizona. He also leaves behind his children, Craig Lookingbill (Michona) of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Kristin Ralston (Kevin) of Philipsburg, Montana; along with his stepsons, Kim Lee (Lori Ann) of Twin Falls, Idaho, Rick Wright (Lisa) of South Weber, Utah, and Rob Wright of Issaquah, Washington. Kelly’s legacy also lives on through his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom brought him tremendous pride and joy. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucille Lookingbill, his sister, Phyllis Huff, and stepson, Keith Lee. A memorial service honoring Kelly’s life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 2:00pm at the Twin Falls Reformed Church. His family invites all who knew him to join in celebrating a life well lived and a man deeply loved.
