Lauri Sue Barnett was joined with Christ on August 11, 2026, leaving behind many years of debilitating physical pain.

Lauri was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to John and Betty Morris on September 20, 1956, joining her older sister Julie. When she was a young child, the family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. The town became her lifetime home. She graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1975. That same year she married Barry Eacker. To this union was born one son, David.

When others could or would not see the beauty in something, Lauri did. She had an inquiring mind and pondered life deeply, expressing herself in poetry or prose that reached into the heart of the reader. She appreciated and elevated even the smallest details around her. Common or humble objects were turned into a beautiful part of life under her discerning eye. Her love of beauty showed itself in her surroundings no matter where that might be. Lauri bravely faced decades of chronic pain with a grace and dignity that inspired those who knew her. Although hearts are heavy for our own loss, we rejoice that she is now free of that pain.

She was preceded in death her parents. She is survived by her son David, sister Julie, niece and nephew Amy and Matt, and six great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Rosenau Funeral Home at 2 pm on Saturday, August 29. Special thanks to all the people at Bridgeview Estates and Visions Home Health who took such good care of Lauri in her final months and days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
