Lorralynn Verdier Schleef

Mar 19, 1954 — Sep 22, 2026

Lorralynn Verdier Schleef, known to family and friends as Annette Verdier Schleef, died in Twin Falls, Idaho, on September 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She and her husband, Andrew “Andy” Schleef, made their home in the town of Glenns Ferry, Idaho.

Annette was born on March 19, 1954, to Miriam Romell Verdier and Adolf Verdier in Santa Cruz, California. She attended Harbor High School and graduated in 1972. After high school, she married Corwin Dawson and relocated to Midvale, Utah, where they raised their three children. Annette was actively involved in her children’s school and learned American Sign Language so she could work at a home for deaf adults.

Annette and Andy met in 1994 and were married in 1995.

Annette loved the outdoors and could often be found enjoying nature, fishing with her husband, or exploring on her quad. She was an avid rock collector and had a gift for making friends out of strangers. She found joy in lightening the loads of other people and always seemed to find a way to be helpful. To say that Annette was giving is an inadequate description of her character; she was truly selfless.

Annette also loved to create. She crafted ceramics, made beautiful embroidery, and created stunning bouquets from flowers grown in her garden. Along with her kindheartedness, Annette was quick-witted and funny. She loved to laugh and especially enjoyed playing cards, including cribbage, with her family.

Annette is survived by her husband, Andy Schleef; son Dustin Dawson (Marni); daughter Jessie Dawson Deetz (Jeremy); daughter Kimberly Dawson Cummings (Scott); bonus daughter Michelle Mason (Josh); and grandchildren Erika Dawson, Katrina Dawson, Anya Dawson, Phoebe Deetz, Dawson Deetz, Maddox Dawson Cummings, Elise Dawson Cummings, Teo Dawson Cummings, and bonus grandson Tyler Mason.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Adolf and Miriam Verdier; her older brother, Wayne Pervier; and her younger brother, Raymond Verdier. She will be deeply missed by the family and friends whose lives she touched with her generosity, humor, and love.

A celebration of Annette’s life will be planned for the spring. Condolences may be sent to PO Box 686 Glenns Ferry, ID 83623
