Marlyn Daniels

Marlyn Lee Daniels age 80 of Twin Falls, Idaho, a former resident of Council, Idaho, died Friday July 9, 2021 of natural causes. A graveside service will be held in Council, Idaho; details are pending. Marlyn was born in New Plymouth, Idaho on December 4, 1940 to George F. Johnson Sr. and Leona Belle (Scott) Johnson. She was the second child in a family of eight siblings who include: Sharon Neal (Ernie dec.), George F. Johnson Jr. (Donna), Eric Johnson (Sharon), Joe Johnson (Teresa), Marie Forsey (Gary dec.), Christopher Johnson (dec.) and Jayne Johnson. Marlyn graduated from Council High School in 1959. In June of that year she married Bill Daniels. Together they raised three daughters, Sandra (Scott) Ward, Sheryl (Jeff) Poole and Barbara (Bob) Ramos. She worked as deputy treasurer of Adams County, deputy treasurer of Elmore County, bookkeeper at Conida warehouse in Hazelton, Idaho and bookkeeper at Franklin Building Supply of Bellevue, Idaho. Marlyn is survived by her husband of 62 years, her three daughters and sons in law, three sisters, three brothers, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Chris Johnson, two brothers in law, two nephews, and a niece. Marlyn said “I was born into a wonderful family and married into a wonderful family.” Marlyn was an avid reader and loved to sew and do crossword puzzles. She made beautiful quilts for all her grandchildren. The family wishes to give a special thank you to St. Luke’s Homecare and Hospice for their compassionate and outstanding care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Marlyn’s name to Council Valley Free Library, P.O. Box E, Council, Idaho 83612. Memories and condolences may be shared by visiting the Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls, Idaho.
