Mary Ellen Burgess

     Mary Ellen Burgess age 86, passed away December 7, 2023 peacefully at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho after a short illness. Mary has loved to dance all her life with her father as her favorite dance partner. She was an avid reader and belonged to a local literary club for over 60 years. Mary was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she held numerous positions, her favorite being an ordinance worker in the Boise and Twin Falls Temples for 10 years.  She served a mission with her sweetheart in the Alabama Birmingham Mission.

     Mary was preceded in death by her parents F.N. and Helen Stowell, one brother Gerald Stowell, and one grandson Logan Nichols. She is survived by one brother Richard (Carol) Stowell, her husband Ted D. Burgess, and their 5 children; Brian Burgess, Marla (Walter) Nichols, Lori (Rocky) McClymonds, Brent (Naomi) Burgess, and Marc(Alicia) Burgess. She has been blessed with 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.  One of her greatest joys was when she became a grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved them all very much.

     The funeral will be held Friday December 15 at 11:00am, viewing at 10:00am at the Hankins L.D.S. Chapel. 723 Hankins Rd. N. under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
