Mary Alice Houtchens

Mary Alice Houtchens,83 passed away at her granddaughter Maddie's home in Twin Falls, ID. on September 13th,2021. Mary was born April 29th, 1938 in St. Ignatius, MT to Ethel and Vernon Evans. She married Harold Houtchens in Missoula, MT. Together they had 6 children Susan, Thomas, Harold, Peggy, Darla and Lonnie. Mary was a stay at home mom. Mary and Harold moved to Shoshone, ID in 1980. She was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church. She was Nana to everyone that knew her in Shoshone and to her church friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Harold, son Thomas, parents, Ethel and Vernon, sister Patsy, and brother Larry. She is survived by her children Susan (Ron) Haffner, Harold, Peggy (Tim)Dye, Darla (Patrick)Henry, Lonnie (Mitch)Rogers. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A special thanks to Magic Valley Paramedics and Coroner’s office for the kindness to our mother. Thank you, Maddie for your love, patience and kindness to our mom and nana during one the hardest times in her life. There will be a celebration of life in Shoshone, ID on September 25th from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Shoshone City Park.
