Mary Lois (Dudley) Messner was born January 29, 1932 in Seymour, Missouri, to Calvin J. and Marjorie Opal (Martin) Dudley. She passed away August 17, 2025.
She attended Gentry School until she was in the 5th grade when her family moved to Mansfield, MO. In February of 1944, the family moved to Murtaugh, Idaho where her father was employed on the Glen Briggs Farm. She attended the Murtaugh School from the middle of her 7th grade year until the middle of her sophomore year, when once again the family moved closer to the Twin Falls area, where they attended Bethel Temple Church.
Mary was baptized in Jesus’ name just a few weeks before her 15th birthday and she received the Holy Ghost on April 12th, 1947.
She had a wonderful life living for the Lord serving her family (her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren).
She graduated from Kimberly High School on May 17, 1949. During the summer of that year, she was employed at the Orange Transportation Company until just a short time before her first child was born in September, 1951.
Mary and Dale Messner were married on September 6, 1950 at Bethel Temple Apostolic Church, Twin Falls, Idaho by the late Pastor B.M. David. Together she and Dale and their son Everett, two daughters, Lorene and Sharon shared many years on the farms where they lived. Five years were spent southwest of Jerome and 57 years on the Salmon Tract south of Twin Falls. She was always a homemaker. She was also a Sunday School teacher and the Ladies Auxiliary leader in her church for many years. Additionally, Mary, along with her family, is forever grateful for the late Pastor Allen R. Picklesimer- a true Shepherd and man of God.
She is survived by her children: Everett (Stella), Lorene, Sharon (Quinn); her grandchildren: Michelle (Jeff), J.D. (Sebrina), Christy (Caleb), Shellie, Tamara (Curtis); great-grandchildren: Thayne (Miranda), Raquel, Cameron (Emily), Justin (Isabell), Lenora, Christiana, Kylie, Oero, Ouma, Ariana, and Andrew.
Great-great-grandchildren: Boon, Charlotte, Xavier, Angelo, Wesley, and Caroline, along with many children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and others that she welcomed into her family over the years.
