Nelson Thomas “Nels” Guymon, age 90, passed away on December 21, 2025, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Nels was born on August 8, 1935, in Cleveland, Utah. He lived a life rooted in hard work, responsibility, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
A true craftsman, Nels took pride in providing for his family and building a life through skill, determination, and being dependable. He was a devoted provider and—true to form—a penny pincher with a stubborn streak that reflected his strong values. Above all, he showed his love through action, consistency, and doing what needed to be done.
Nels shared a long and devoted marriage with his wife, Vera “Marlene” Guymon. Married for many, many years, their partnership was built on commitment, loyalty, and shared sacrifice. Together they raised their five children and created a home grounded in stability, hard work, and love. Through their marriage, they set a powerful and lasting example for all five of their children—that a marriage can endure, grow, and last a lifetime.
Nels’s greatest passion was his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, making memories outdoors, and ensuring those around him were cared for.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Guymon, as well as Randy Guymon, Matt Ford, Paigelyn Ford, and his parents Archie and Blanch Guymon.
He is survived by his children Terri (Kim) Ford, Cindy (Kevin) Mueller, Doug (Barbra) Guymon, and Nelson (Nonni) Guymon, along with numerous grandchildren—too many to name—each a source of pride and love.
A viewing will be held on December 30, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Twin Falls Reformed Church, 1631 Grandview Dr N, Twin Falls, ID 83301.
