Paula Dian Hauser

December 10, 1945 — May 6, 2026

Paula Dian Hauser, 80 passed away on May 6th , 2026, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on December 10th , 1945, in Salt Lake City Utah to Inez Heywood Randall and Eugene Smith Randall. She was sealed for all time and eternity to her best friend and eternal companion Henry Jay Hauser on Friday October 13th , 1967, in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Paula Dian Hauser was known for her desire to serve others, her faith, determination, and generous heart. She touched the lives of others through her love of music, incredible talent of playing the piano and organ in primary, accompanying the Hagerman Ward choir, and singing in the choir for the Boise Idaho Temple dedication. She was also known for her incredible talents and patience with others which was shown through teaching piano lessons, providing day care in our family home, working as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for more than 20 years, completing a LDS service mission at Deseret Industries, and serving in the Twin Falls Temple with her Eternal Companion Jay by her side until the headaches from her brain tumors prevented her from doing this work that meant so very much to her.

Mom enjoyed cooking, decorating for the holidays, family gatherings, and was very skilled at adapting and discovering recipes that she could eat due to her Celiacs. She loved enjoying the beauty of nature including wildflowers, birds, camping, fishing, driving in the mountains, and going for drives and adventures with dad.

In May 2024, mom received a diagnosis of Stage 4 breast cancer, with metastases identified in her lungs and subsequently in her brain. She endured multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation to slow the progression of the disease. She fought hard with the same strength and determination she brought to everything in her life. Even in the hardest of times and multiple hospital stays she never gave up and was always worried about everyone else.

She is survived by her eternal companion Henry Jay Hauser and her children Dan(Gena), Brandt (Konae), Kyle (Jenny), Randalyn (Joe), and Del (McKenzie); 22grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Mom also had many extended family members and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her grandson Eric Hauser, daughter in law Kara Hauser, her parents Smith and Inez Randall, and her three brothers Marque, Jan, and Bert Randall.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jessica Thibault, the medical staff at St. Luke’s Cancer Institute, and the additional love and support of those that visited with mom and dad in the hospital and in their home in the last several weeks.
