Philip Earl Severance (Phil) passed away on June 19th, 2025 in Twin Falls, Idaho at the age of 73. Phil was lovingly surrounded during his passing by his wife Donna and two daughters, Jennifer and Emily. Phil died from complications associated with Paget’s disease.
Phil was born July 1, 1951 in Twin Falls, Idaho and raised in Hazelton, Idaho by his parents Owen and Dorothy along with his siblings John, Robert, Linda and David.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents Owen and Dorothy and by his siblings Robert, John and Linda.
Phil is survived by his wife Donna, his two daughters, Jennifer Severance and Emily Yuen, his granddaughter Vivian Yuen, his brother David (Christi) Severance, his brother in law Eddy (Kim)
Studdard, his adoring mother in law, Virginia Studdard, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
During his life, Phil owned and operated two successful auto body shops in the Magic Valley. Phil and his daughters have special memories of spending time at the old family cabin. After retiring, he continued his passion of restoring tachometers and clocks for classic Mustangs and Cobras. Phil was highly respected for his unique skills, and worked with many classic car restoration professionals.
Phil loved to attend car shows with his car buddies and enjoyed his morning coffee times with the guys. Phil also won awards for the restoration of his ’65 Ford Mustang. Phil was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Phil and Donna enjoyed life in Twin Falls and also had a second community of close friends in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Marc Farnworth, Dr. Daniel Preucil, and the doctors and nurses at St. Lukes who so kindly helped in his end-of-life care. They also send a deep thanks to Derrek of Visions Home Health who assisted Phil during the last year of his life.
A memorial service for Phil will be held on July 18, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Please join his family and friends for the memorial, light refreshments, and conversation until 4:00 pm.
