Robert “Bob” Louis Boisvert, age 66, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Kimberly, Idaho on Sunday, June 14th 2026. He was received into the arms of our Lord while tending to his yard that he so loved. Bob is survived by his devoted wife Jeni; children, Robert Jules, Christopher Louis (Jennifer), Daniel Taylor, and Shanna Rose (Ryley); 6 grandchildren; mother, Shirley Marie Lamontagne; along with many extended family members. He is preceded in death by Sharon Dawn. Bob is remembered as a dedicated craftsman who took immense pride in his work but ultimately found his greatest joy in his family.
Bob was born October 30th, 1959 in Winnipeg in the province of Manitoba, Canada and moved to the United States as a young boy. In his later teenage years Bob lived and worked in Wyoming as a ranch hand, sleeping in the bunkhouse of a cutting horse farm. He eventually moved to the east coast and in his early 20s decided to drive his Chevy Camaro across the country and landed in San Diego, California. Bob fell in love with San Diego. The sunny weather and beautiful beaches were a perfect match for his happy, easy-going disposition. He married Sharon Dawn and together they had 4 beautiful children. After 8 years of marriage, Bob tragically lost his first wife Sharon to cancer. Later, Bob met and fell in love with Jeni who absolutely adored him and his children. Jeni and Bob were married on February 12th, 1999 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Bob was an extremely skilled mechanic whose strong work ethic and pride in his work was imparted as core values in his children. For a short time, Bob, Jeni, and the children lived in Eureka, California. He remarked that living with his family amongst the redwoods and forested beaches of Northern California was one of the happiest times in his life. Later, the family returned to Twin Falls, Idaho. Most recently, he started a professional photo framing business where he created beautiful handmade frames. His customers knew him as a kind man who, in addition to always being prompt and meticulous in his work, would befriend everyone he came in contact with.
Bob always said that his family was the greatest achievement of his life. Every day he would greet his Jeni with “good morning beautiful” and coffee. He loved her dearly and relentlessly supported her passion for photography. He wrestled and played constantly with his three sons, teaching them all he knew about mechanics and craftsmanship and was the gentle protector of his only daughter. Bob found great happiness in having his grandchildren play around his feet. He will be remembered for his tight hugs that made you feel that everything would be okay. A phone call with Bob was always ended with “bye for now”; a recognition that we are passing through a temporary life to our eternal home. Bye for now Bob, we will miss you until we are reunited again.
