Samuel Wesley Beeson

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend left this earth for his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2012. Samuel Wesley (Wes) Beeson was born on February 22, 1925 in Star, Idaho to Roy and Lois Beeson. He was the sixth of seven children. The family lived in Star until he was a freshman in high school, and then moved to Homedale, Idaho. He graduated from Homedale High School in 1942. He joined the Navy in 1945 just before the end of World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. Wes met the love of his life and after a four month courtship he married Elaine Pace on November 30, 1949 and they were happily married for 62½ years. They lived in Homedale for several years before moving to Twin Falls where they farmed on the Salmon Tract. In 1967 they moved to Twin Falls where Wes worked as plant manager for Berger & Plate, Magic Valley Bean in Kimberly and for L. W. Moore Bean Warehouse in Hansen. After leaving the bean business, he worked for Gem Spraying. Wes & Elaine had four children, Dick, Connie, Gary and Keith. His loving care and guidance and patience were evident to his children as he taught them good work ethics by his example. His unconditional love was the guiding factor by which he raised his family and loved his Elaine. His family was his pride and joy. Wes was a member of the Homedale Friends Church, the Twin Falls Christian Church and later the Kimberly Christian Church. He held several church positions on different boards and committees throughout the years. Wes had a beautiful bass voice and could be heard singing or yodeling while on the tractors or irrigating. He was a dedicated member of the barbershop chorus the Magichords of Twin Falls for 40 years. He was very saddened when his health prevented him from singing with them anymore. He also sang in the church choirs for many, many years. Wes loved to sing! Wes liked to fish and hunt. He always enjoyed volunteering for community activities, including the Buzz Langdon Visitors Center and delivering Meals on Wheels with Elaine for 15 years. He served as a Boy Scout Leader for all of his boys. He instilled his desire to do your best at whatever you do, and his love of his fellow man. He was a kind and loving man who was always willing to help wherever he was needed. Wes was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, two sisters (Pearl and Mary), and his son Dick in 2004. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine; daughter, Connie (Bob) Davis of Boise; and sons, Gary (Angie) Beeson and Keith Beeson of Twin Falls. Wes had six grandchildren, Tami Ryals, Travis (Sarah) Ryals, Justin Beeson, Amber Beeson, Krystal Johansen and Jason (Anika) Johansen, plus two step children, Tiffany (Joe) Slaughter and Luke Davis. He was also blessed with seven great grandchildren, Colton, Shane and Kennedy Wickstrom, Jaidyn Ryals, Emma Jo Slaughter, Hayden and Jordan Johansen. He is also survived by his brother Bob (Ruth) Beeson of Nampa, sisters Evelyn McIntyre of Alaska and Hazel McCracken of Caldwell and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful doctors and staff at Mountain View Care Center and Oak Creek Rehabilitation Center for the tender care they gave Dad. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the Twin Falls Senior Center at 530 Shoshone St, Twin Falls, ID, 83301. Services will be held Monday, July 2, 2:00 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 E Addison, Twin Falls, 83301.
