Sandra Sue Schroeder, 69 of Twin Falls passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Desert Rose Retirement Estates. Sandy was born July 28, 1941 in Sonoma, CA the daughter of Clem and Ula Hardy Smith. She moved to Twin Falls, ID when she was three years old. She attended T.F. High School and was part of the Class of 1959. Sandy married the love of her life when she was 17. Her Grandma Hardy loved Myron and told her she couldn’t do better than him. Grandma Hardy was right. They were married for 52 years. Sandy started out driving school bus and then advanced to driving beet trucks. She worked at Crandall’s Hallmark for ten years and also for the Twin Falls Clinic & Hospital for twenty years. She retired in August of 1997. Sandy and Myron raised their two girls to love the outdoors: camping, fishing and hunting. However, Sandy’s passions leaned towards playing cards, bowling, complex puzzles, crocheting and books. Her favorite time of retirement was all the time she spent loving, hugging, and enjoying her grandkids and great grandkids. Sandy was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Twin Falls, she bowled on two mixed senior leagues and was also involved in a birthday club. She is survived by her husband, Myron Schroeder; daughters Kandy Jenkins and Shellie Snook; grandchildren, Kyle Parton, Kelsey Parton, Cole Fleenor, Louden Fleenor; great grandchildren, Anya Meyer, Cayden Fleenor, Jace Fleenor, and Addyson Fleenor. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 grandson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Rosenau Funeral Home with family greeting friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, June 17 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 2:00 PM, Saturday following the services at Sunset Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials be given to St Luke’s Magic Valley Health Foundation, P.O. Box 409, Twin Falls, ID 83303 or left with the funeral home staff.
