Twin Falls

Sandra Louise Sexton (Farnsworth), affectionately known as Sandy, passed away on April 6, 2026, in Twin Falls, Idaho, at the age of 85. Born on December 3, 1940, in Burlington, Colorado, she was a devout Christian and a beacon of kindness and love throughout her life.

Sandy graduated from Burlington High School before earning her nursing degree from the College of Saint Mary. She dedicated her career to caring for others, working at the Magic Valley Regional Medical Center and co-founding The Mustard Seed Clinic with her husband, John. Her outstanding service to the community was recognized with the prestigious Jefferson Award presented in Washington,D.C.; and Magic Valley Volunteer of the Year 2008.

A long-time member of the Twin Falls Reformed Church, Sandy's faith deeply influenced her life and actions. She will be remembered for her loving and caring nature, deeply rooted in her Christian values.

Sandy is survived by her son, Douglas Sexton; sister, Viola Tompkins; stepchildren, Sheilah Mann, David Sexton, Chris Sexton, Brett (Sharon) Sexton, and Andy (Tami) Sexton; and grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffery, Tyler, Katheryn, Kylee, Linsey, and Hannah. She was preceded in death by her husband John Sexton; son Mark Sexton; parents, Gladys and Sumner Farnsworth; and brothers, Richard, Charles, and Bill Farnsworth.

Services will be held at Twin Falls Reformed Church, reflecting her strong faith and commitment to her church community. Rosenau Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho, is assisting the family with arrangements. Sandy's life and legacy will be cherished by all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she has left behind.
