Sharon Victoria Scott, 71 passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer. Sharon was born in Tonopah, Nevada in 1940 to Dick Truscott and Mary Streets Truscott. Sharon moved to Twin Falls with her family in 1948. Sharon went to school in Twin Falls and graduated in 1959. After graduating, Sharon went to work at Kings in the Lynwood, and then went to work for Truscott, Inc, where she was a bookkeeper until she retired after 25 years. Sharon married Delvin Earl Scott on May 29, 1971. Two wonderful sons were born of this union, John Rick in 1974 and Chad Williams in 1976. Sharon and Scotty enjoyed their years together working in the garden, going fishing and raising their boys. Sharon was an active member and among the original congregation of Community Christian Church, holding many offices within the church during the years and at the time of her death, was treasurer of Women in Ministry. Her unwavering faith and trust in the Lord was an inspiration to friends and family. Sharon is survived by her two sons, John and Chad, her brothers, Richard (Linda) Truscott, Larry (Kathleen) Truscott, and her sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Thompson, Vivian (Dell) Van Orden. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 41 years. The family would like to express their deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to Visions Home Health and Hospice and her many doctors, and her caregivers Kathleen Truscott and Linda Truscott who happily shared the duties of caring for Sharon at their homes the last 5 months of her life. Sharon always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude and for every step back in her health battles; she was ready to take 3 steps forward. A Celebration of Sharon’s life will be held Saturday, January 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Community Christian Church on 303 Grandview Drive in Twin Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls. Family suggests that donations may be made to Community Christian Church.
