Thelma JOYCE Stringer born April 11th, 1937 returned home on August 12th, 2024, to what we’re certain was a glorious reunion with her eternal partner, George LARAE Stringer who preceded her in death on August 11th, 2015. She held many titles in life, but her favorites were Wife, Mom, Grandma and Grandma-Great.
Her life on earth was spent in service to others and to her Savior Jesus Christ. A few of her favorites include being a temple worker for many years in the Boise and Twin Falls temples, a mission with her sweetheart in the Wharton, Texas area, and the time(s) she spent as Young Women’s President.
Her family will always treasure her amazing recipes and beautiful hand-created gifts. She will be remembered for her strong will, her work ethic she passed down to her posterity, her love and dedication to her family and her faith and devotion to her Father in Heaven – Well done thou good and Faithful Servant.
She is survived by her children Lynette Penman (Terry), Craig Stringer (Susan), Gary Stringer (Renee), Stephanie Dickey (Kevin); 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, her younger brother Lee Claiborne (Vonnie) and many loved nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her oldest son Steven Stringer (Neva), her great-grandson Daniel Johnson, parents Arnold and Donna Claiborne, her 3 sisters Irene, Jean, Virginia and youngest brother David.
Join us to celebrate her life on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024 (viewing 9:30 am–10:45 am, funeral services 11:00 am) at the LDS Chapel located at 2680 Elizabeth Blvd, Twin Falls, Idaho. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, 2296 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls, Idaho.
The family would like to thank all those at Grace Memory Care, Visions Hospice Care, Rosenau Funeral Home, and members of the Elizabeth ward who have loved and cared for her these last years of her life.
