In Loving Memory of Timothy Lee Reeves

Timothy Lee Reeves passed away on June 25, 2026, in Buhl, Idaho, at the age of 56.

Tim was born on December 2, 1969, in West Covina, California, to Virgil and Deena Reeves. He is the middle son and spent his life embracing the values of hard work, service, faith, and family. An outdoorsman at heart, Tim found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature.

After graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1988, Tim began working at Wok N Grill while still in high school. He later worked alongside his father, Virgil, at Charmac Trailers and learned his work ethic from his dad.

Tim continued his education at the College of Southern Idaho, earning three associate degrees: an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice, an Associate of Arts, and an Associate of Applied Science in Law Enforcement, all while working security jobs. His commitment to learning and serving others prepared him for a career dedicated to protecting and serving his community.

Following graduation, Tim became a Court Security Officer with the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Department. After attending the Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Academy, he joined the Filer Police Department as a Peace Officer. When asked why he chose law enforcement, Tim often said it was because of the challenges, the responsibility, and the sense of accomplishment that came from serving and protecting his community.

His dedication to helping others extended beyond law enforcement. In 2007, Tim became an Emergency Medical Technician for the Filer Quick Response Unit, and in 2008 he completed training and began volunteering with the City of Filer Volunteer Fire Department. From 2009 to 2017, Tim proudly served as Chief of the Filer Police Department, leading with integrity, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

In September 2016, Tim married the love of his life, Deb Easterday Reeves. Through their marriage, he was blessed to gain a daughter, Alicia Miller(Easterday), whom he loved dearly. Together, they built a life filled with faith, laughter, and unconditional love.

Tim found happiness in the simple things. He loved woodworking, spending Saturday mornings with his breakfast club, attending church, and was a devoted member of Twin Falls Reformed Church. He never turned down a sweet treat or a cold Pepsi, and he treasured spending time playing games with family and friends, filling those moments with laughter and unforgettable memories.

He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his close friend, Chris Mullen, and looked forward each year to the annual Christmas tree hunt. Tim also enjoyed teaching his nephews about firearm safety and responsible handling, sharing not only his knowledge but also his respect and passion for the outdoors and the importance of safety. One of his constant companions was his beloved dog, Ruby, who brought him endless joy.

Above all else, Tim will be remembered for his servant's heart, unwavering integrity, quiet strength, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. His legacy lives on through the family, friends, colleagues, and community members whose lives he touched through both his service and his friendship.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
