Tonya Laree Skeen, 50, of Paul, Idaho passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 3, 2024 after a brave battle with cancer.

Tonya was born on August 10, 1973, in Paul, Idaho to Orley and Patricia Skeen. She was the youngest of thirteen children.

Tonya attended Paul Elementary, West Minico Jr. High and Minico High School, graduating in 1992. After graduation she was employed by the Sun Valley Company, working there for 33 years.

Tonya loved her family, hiking on the mountain paths, base jumping, hang gliding, parachuting and traveling with family and friends. She visited Barbados, Hawaii, Spain, Italy and France. Tonya took her mom with her on two of the trips.

When she was unable to work, she moved into her brother’s home in Paul. Family members helped Hub care for her until her passing.

Tonya is survived by her mother, Patricia Skeen of Paul; five brothers Harvey, Kevin, Barrie and Hub Skeen of Paul and Garth Skeen (Shauna) of Rupert; six sisters Sandra, Leah and Renee Skeen of Paul, Katrina, Angelee and Heather Skeen of Sun Valley; one nephew Christian Skeen of Rupert and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Orley Skeen; one sister April Skeen; grandparents Harvey and Neita Skeen, Clare and Iva Pearce and Eugene Holman, all her Aunts and Uncles and one cousin.

Tonya was a kind and giving person, a wonderful daughter, sister, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

The family would like to thank Huntsman Cancer Institute, St. Luke’s Cancer Institute and Hospice Visions nurses Erica, Nydia and Ginger.

At Tonya’s request no funeral services will be held.
