Tyce John Nielsen

September 26, 2016 — May 3, 2026

Tyce John Nielsen, beloved son, cherished brother, and bright light to everyone who knew him, passed away on May 3, 2026, after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born on September 26, 2016, and in his nine beautiful years of life, Tyce gave more love, joy, laughter, and strength than many people do in a lifetime.

Tyce was truly one of a kind. He had the sweetest heart, a gentle spirit, and a way of making people feel loved simply by being near him. His smile could light up a room, and his laughter became the soundtrack of the lives of those who loved him most. He faced every challenge with bravery far beyond his years while still holding onto the kindness and innocence that made him so special.

He valued and cared for so many people and loved spending time with his family. Weekend days didn’t start until Tyce was awake and would say, “So, what should we do today guys?”. He was always encouraging his family to get up, have fun, and make memories together. Fortnite Battle Royale, hide and seek, swimming, baseball, card games, dance parties, amusement parks, or just sitting around laughing and telling jokes are a few of the things that he loved to do with friends and family. His love for his family was pure and constant, and the joy he brought into their home can never be replaced.

He was a LEGO master, St Louis Cardinals Baseball and Blues Hockey fan, adventure seeker, french fry connoisseur, jump scare enthusiast, professional Coke and Blue Takis consumer, always living his best Wobbly Life, “John Deere hat is my vibe” guy, ultimate snuggle bug, and the absolute MVP of his family.

Tyce leaves behind a family forever changed by his love that includes his dad (Blake), mom (Ciera), and 2 older brothers (Braxten - 13, and Dash - 10). Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will last forever. He taught those around him about courage, compassion, and the preciousness of every moment. His memory will live on in every shared story, every quiet moment of remembrance, and every act of kindness done in his honor.

There are no words big enough to explain the sorrow of losing Tyce, nor enough words to capture just how deeply loved he is. He was, and always will be, a treasure, whose presence made the world brighter.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Tyce.

A memorial service will be held at Rosenau Funeral Home on Sunday, June 7th at 1pm with a balloon release to follow at 3pm at the field across from Rock Creek Elementary. All friends and family are invited.
