Valerie Jeanne Stigile

Valerie Jeanne Stigile, age 66, passed away on March 23, 2026. She was born the youngest of five children on February 8, 1960, to Don and Doris Achenbach in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was a long-time resident of Buhl, Idaho and later moved to Hazelton, Idaho.

Valerie grew up in Buhl with her oldest brother and sister, twins Ray and Kay. Valerie’s other two sisters, Jolyn and Donna, passed very young. Valerie married her first love Darrell Clark in 1977. They had a son, Justin. Darrell was killed in a tragic accident soon after. In 1980, Valerie married Ted Reynolds and they had a daughter, Shelli. They later divorced. Valerie met the love of her life Kelly Stigile in 2001, and they married in 2002. Kelly brought a stepdaughter Alanna and stepson Austin into her family.

Valerie held different jobs throughout her life including accounting, computer tech support, and secretarial work, as well as helping with the family business when she was younger. Valerie helped Kelly with the farm and raising cattle. She found a deep passion for quilting later in life. She made quilts for most of her family members, each with her special design, and had plans for many more.

Valerie is survived by her husband Kelly, brother Ray (Ethel) Achenbach, aunt Adene (Jim) Kimball, son Justin (April) Clark, daughter Shelli (Bill) Stokesberry, stepdaughter Alanna (David) Shuldberg, stepson Austin (Lindsy) Stigile, nine grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews who she adored.

She is preceded in death by her parents Don and Doris Achenbach, sisters Kay Eastburn, Jolyn Achenbach, and Donna Achenbach, and niece Maurene Kendrick.

A funeral service will be held on April 17th, 2026 at 11:00 am at Rosenau Funeral Home.
