Flora Virginia “Jenny” Lee, 91, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Brookdale Assisted Living.
Born in Doctor’s Inlet, Florida, to Sherwood and Lola Boxx, Jenny was the seventh of eight children. She grew up alongside her beloved siblings—four brothers: Clyde, Chester, Bernard, and Maysel; and three sisters: Kathleen, Jeannette, and Shirley.
In 1951, she met the love of her life, Monte Wayne Lee, in Jacksonville, Florida. They were married in 1954 and went on to build a beautiful life together, raising four children: Michael, Kevin, Karen, and Kandie. This past April would have marked their 71st wedding anniversary.
Jenny had a long and fulfilling career as the office manager for Max Stuart and Company, where she worked for over 25 years before retiring. She was deeply involved in her community, serving as president of the Sweet Adelines, a local women’s barbershop chorus, and was an active member of the Altrusa Club. She proudly hosted a national Sweet Adelines competition in Twin Falls, a highlight of her musical involvement.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jenny and Monte faithfully served together in both the Boise and Twin Falls LDS Temples for more than 11 years. She cherished her time in the temple and often spoke of the joy and peace it brought her.
Jenny’s greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. Her face would light up every time they entered the room. Affectionately known as the “fruit snack grandma” at church, she also had many “adopted” grandchildren who adored her and felt the warmth of her unconditional love.
She is survived by her children: Kevin (Teri) Lee, Karen (Tim) Corder, and Kandie (Steve) Luttmer; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family who will miss her dearly.
Jenny was preceded in death by her husband, Monte Wayne Lee; her son, Michael Wayne Lee; her parents, Sherwood Boxx and Lola Durrance; and her siblings: Clyde, Chester, Maysel, Bernard, Kathleen, Jeannette, and Shirley.
