Virginia Rose Sparks Virginia Rose Sparks from Filer, Idaho was born on August 9, 1937 at Whitefield, Oklahoma to Mose A. Heffley and Lola Josephine Gates Heffley. She was number seventh of thirteen children. When Virginia was six when the family moved to Yuba City, California. She attended Wilson elementary school in Sutter County and then Yuba City High School. She was married to Wallace Norris. They raised two boys, Kenneth Carter and Wallace Norris, Jr. in Filer. They later divorced. Virginia married John Sparks on November 14, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have resided in Filer, Idaho since their marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons: Kenneth Carter and Wally Norris, Jr.; her brothers E.J., Phillip, Jimmie Wayne, Ricky Dan, Roy Lee and Billy Carroll Heffley. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Martha Dean Robertson, Doris Maxine Drake, Bettye Lee Coats, and Pencie Elizabeth Miller. She is survived by her husband, John Sparks; granddaughters, Jennifer Cardon of Idaho Falls and Jessica Norris of Filer; grandchildren, Austin, Taylor and Leah Cardon, Kilha Rae Setterly and Shawn Norris; and sisters, Ruth Reynolds, Yuba City, CA, and Patricia Cameron, Filer, ID; Step-children, John Sparks, Jr. (Debbie) Fruitland, ID; Mike Sparks, Blackfoot, ID; Teresa Sparks, Tina Sparks, and Rae Sparks of Idaho Falls, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to dance. She particularly loved square dancing, and belonged to a square dancing club for several years. She also loved music, fishing and people. Most of all she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her greatest joy. Virginia was a giving and compassionate person. When someone needed something, she would give them the shirt off her back if they asked for it. However, you had better not mess up her house or you were in for a stern talking to. You never wanted to be the One in one of those talks. Virginia was an excellent cook and operated two restaurants in Filer, Idaho for several years. Her family enjoyed her prowess in the kitchen at the Sunday lunches she made every week. Every one of her family and friends knew they were welcome. Later, she managed Dahle’s women’s clothing in Twin Falls, and then managed Cabin Creek Mobile Home Park in Filer, Idaho. The funeral will be Monday, January 20, 2020 a 11 a.m. at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E, Twin Falls, ID 83301. She will be laid to rest at the Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls, ID.
